2008 The year for a new van

3 weeks before the contest I got a 2005 sto and go Dodge Grand Caravan.

First step was getting power from the battery into the van.
HBO Stereo can sell me wire but they can install and save me $ on wasted wire!
4awg wire. Two sets. One for the AC power inverter, the other for the Rack and other DC devices.
I also purchased a brand new large battery!

The first step was to remove the old roof racks!

Then we lay out the locations of the new angle aluminum.

I also needed to get into the ceiling liner in order to put in the support braces and nuts.
They put heat/air ducts in the ceiling!! Wow! New twist.

Perfect, the hole is on a flat spot. Unfortunatly I could not use an uncut support brace. I had to cut them into peices.

Now I drill HOLES!
My daughter cried!

Now we have a roof!

The van in the back of this picture is my daughters not mine. Same year van.
