NoBarc N1ISB Newcomers round table
VHF Contest award
Award given to the local ham with the best score in a manageable fun
portion of the VHF contests.
Purpose: to promote activity in the VHF contests by NoBarc hams with a
special emphasis on encouraging new hams to contest and prepare more
for other contests like Field Day.
Eligible:
Must be a NoBarc club member -OR-
Live in Berkshire county Mass.
Must be a licensed ham for the bands listed and obey all FCC rules..
Requirements:
Follow ARRL Rules for the particular
contest.
Single operator or family in same house one transmitter at a time, one
call sign.
Less than 50watts on any band.
No Antenna Limit, the SKY is the limit! :-)
Must submit a log to the ARRL with club affiliation of "NoBarc" (exact
spelling required).
CC: a copy of the ARRL cabrillo log to
vhf@nobarc.org.
You can log on paper and use this
web
site to convert the data to Cabrillo.
You will need to save a copy of the
cabrillo file at the review step if you use this web site.
Bands:
Award points only for contacts on
6m, 2m, 440mhz.
You can contest on all bands but only 6,2,440 count towards the NoBarc
award.
Score:
ARRL scoring for qso points and
multipliers on 6,2 and 440mhz Plus
50 points for each contact with a NoBarc paid up member. Contacts on
different
bands allowed.
