Plainfield Pond

- there is some shore along Rt 116/8a and there are some fish
there..
- Nice 57acres in size
- Parking on the north side of rt 116 next to the pond.
- Town Beach along the side of rt 116..
- 5 to 9ft deep
- There is the remant of a small ramp but it was badly washed out.
- Canoe access.
- NO BIG BOATS.
- Much of the shore of the lake but not all is undeveloped.
- You can wade the shores of this lake and there was a bloom of
flies on August 26th. The fish were rising to them. Fly fishing could
be real fun here for little yellows!
- The
- Bottom seems to be mostly mud.
- Lots of pads/weeds but not all over the place!.
- Fish:
- small yellow perch
- small Blue Gills
- I caught a < 1 lb Bass on my first trip from the shore at
the ramp.
- August 8th 2006 canoe trip.
- 3:30pm - 8pm, cloudy and breezy. Calm near sunset.
- only a few fish but one nice 3lb Bass. caught on a 3inch purple
worm with red tail in the weeds along the south west shore near one of
the houses.
