Warning!
I think most of this area is private land. An off shoot trail of the
Adarondak trail that enters Near the intersection of High st and
Field St. Ext. runs through this area and it has the trail markers but
I do not see any posted signs. The lakes appear to be part of some
excivation from the nearby gravel pits. This is why I think this area
might be private. I have visited this area once by accident on the
trail and then I went back once to see if there were any fish. My first
visit to this area showed signs of things like bon fires, drinking and
other people fishing so this might be a local teen hang out. So be
advised this is a VERY interesting place but might not be a good place
to go near July 4th or late in the evenings. I would not visit while
the gravel company is open and operating mostly to stay out of their
way and to stay safe.
