53.23
07/30/2009
07/29/09 W1GPO, K2LM and N1FGY did some work.
antennas were checked on as well as the
repeater. They discovered that a jumper or two on the duplexers were
not right. John will be making up new ones and a future trip will
replace them.
05/31/09 KA1SUN checked out the repeater.
52 watts fwd
2 watts ref
08/23/08 tpe AC power usage with the new power supply. 17w idle, 229w
in transmit.
7/21/07 50 MHz: The "shutdown discrete" was connected to the 6 meter
repeater and the 6 meter controller program was modified (macro
added). We can now control 6m from the Control receiver (or
146.91).
7/8/07 Jim K2LM did a FAST job and integrated a new SCOM controller
into this repeater with only 1WEEK of down time!. The new repeater has
10* and 11* to control the PL down/up. The audio sounds GREAT!
11/06/06 53.23 now has temporary control of its transmitter from the
control receiver via the 146.91 controller.
This will be direct when the new 53.23 controller is in place.
We currently only have a list of idea's and problems.
It has come to my attention that 53.23 has caused some interference in
the past.
Time out timer does not work which aggrivated the interference.
PL does not appear to be working which is a no-no on 6m FM by
gentlemans agreement.
4/26/06 new squelch installed.
4/26/06 New switching Power supply installed.
5/3/06 Up and running, Thanks
Jim, Ed and Sigurd!
4/14/06 W1BS shutdown 6m due to interference that came from the new
146.91 controller.
4/15/06 KE3HT, KB1HZL, WA1ZHM went to greylock and found the noise came
in from the lodge alarm system and terminated in 91 controller.
Also found 6m receiver PL259 was not attached. We re-attached the
pl259 and 6m was running ok. Need to add rf choke to lodge alarm system
to prevent further problems. On 91 status details list of things to do.
04/24/06 KE3HT:
I checked out the PASS cavity that Joe and Pat had at
their house. It was a custom made cavity made for NoBarc by Wacom. I
found it dead
on our frequency down to the exact cycle. It has a WACOM manufactured
label for
our frequency and SN 7195. Wacom would not disclose who purchased it or
when but
they would confirm that it was custom made for NoBarc. The cavity is in
excellent
shape and does not shift freq when moved and bumped.
Insertion loss is 0.51db @53.23mhz and the 10db down points are
pretty steep considering it is 6 meters. 10db down is at 52.87mhz and
53.56mhz.
These cavities are 66inches high and 8inches diameter. The cavity also
has the
adjustment screw out the top making the thing over 6 foot tall! Bigger
than the
cavities on the hill now. UHF connectors.
04/26/06 K2AEP, W1GPO, KJ1K, N1FGY, W1BS and N1LZH
installed new Switching Power supply and power poles to connect them.
Installed the squelch mod for a better squelch. As of when KJ1K left
the thought was to defer the controller upgrade till another day. By it
self it could take some time to integrate.
05/01/06 KJ1K and K2LM
attempted to adjust the squelch and had a accident that damaged the
tone
and system boards.
